Crayons.

So today, I came upon another interesting quote. It's relating Life to a box of Crayons. Oh the things I find, right? Haha!

"Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's ok though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation.. so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type.. I'm like, "hey girl, magenta!" and she's like, "oh, you mean purple!" and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, "no - I want magenta!"

Cute, huh? I think it's quite true. Well, at least my interpretation of it. I think this quote means, bluntly (FYI : I'm a pretty blunt person unless I'm writing something haha), that most people are too boring/close minded, and conservative. I too fancy myself as a 64-color box of crayons. I love having a variety, I love having different colors (I relate the colors to different experiences and thoughts).

I love surrounding myself with weird, awkward funny people. Who doesn't? Well, a lot of people, actually. A lot of people I've come across just don't get what a joke is. Or they'll get that it's a joke, but they won't understand why it's funny. I hate people like that. I also hate people who limit themselves and barely express themselves. And people who don't have an open mind to things. It makes conversation boring. I love my friends because we can start talking about the weirdest things that probably will never happen.

Like my friend Chris. I remember once when we were hanging out at the Edge of the Universe (this really tall cliff where we can see the curvature of the Earth, no lie!) that's somewhere in the mountains by my place. It started getting late at night, and it got cold and windy, and so this stop sign kept banging against something. I didn't know what it was at first, and I was like, "what's that??" and he replied "it's unicorns." and for the next like, hour we started talking about unicorns and weird stuff like that. Eventually it was completely dark out, around 8:30pm or so, and all this smoke started coming off the side of the mountain, and I was like "dude! It's a volcano!!" and he was like "no no, it's a dragon, and he's angry." And then started a whole other conversation about that. He too, is what I consider a 64-color crayon box. 8-color crayon box people would have just told me it was a pole rattling in the wind, and a cloud.

Though I just found this quote today, I've always tried to live my life like this, I just never found such a unique way to put it. And I shall continue to live my life like this. Live outside the box! Go explore and live in the state of mind that
    anything is possible.
